Sheriff R. Z. Moss was today notified that Sam Lady, a fugitive from justice from this county, has been arrested in Indianapolis. Deputy Sheriff George Holloway left this afternoon for Frankfort to obtain requisition papers from the prisoner. Lady is alleged to have killed Ed King in a quarrel near Logana, November 7, and eluded the officers.

Sam Lady tried on charge of murder. Accused of killing Ed King last November and fate is in the hands of jury at Nicholasville (Special to the Herald). Nicholasville, KY., March 6 - The March term of Circuit Court began today, with Judge J. M. Benton presiding, and the grand jury was empaneled.
The case of the Commonwealth against Sam Lady for the killing of Ed King last November, was called today, and Lady pleaded not guilty.
The examination of six witnesses occupied the greater part of the afternoon. J. W. Mitchell, attorney for the defense, spoke in behalf of his client and he was followed by Commonwealth's Attorney B. A. Crutcher, who is assisting William Watts, County Attorney, in the prosecution. The case is now in the hands of the jury.
Lady and Ed King engaged in a difficulty near Logana last November and King was stabbed to death. Lady eluded the officers and escaped but was arrested in Indianapolis several weeks ago.

Nicholasville, KY., March 7 - Sam Lady, who was tried in Circuit Court yesterday for the killing of Ed King last November, was this morning acquitted and left at once for his home Logana, this county. Court has adjourned until Monday.
