Arkansas "Cannie" MAYS was born on 25 August 1848 in Kentucky. She died on 27 July 1905 at the age of 56 in Wilmore, Jessamine Co., KY. BRUNER, MRS. ED (Arkie M.) The sad death of Mrs. Ed. Bruner took place at her home near Wilmore, July 27, 1905. She had been an invalid for ten or twelve years, and was seriously ill only ten days. She was taken with a congestive chill and, after having suffered greatly, passed away. The deceased was born Aug. 25, 1848 and was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Mays. She was married to Edward Bruner in 1875, seven children being the result of the union. Mrs. Bruner was a christian woman, having been a member of the church since early girlhood. Those who knew her said "She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and kind neighbor and none will be missed more than she."
