Overstreet in the loss by the death of his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Overstreet, on Monday, Oct. 30th, of typhoid fever. Mrs. Overstreet was 47 years old and, although she had been ill for several weeks, yet her death was a great shock to the friends, especially in her neighborhood, where she had lived such a useful life. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel, M.E. Church, where she was a most active and consistent member. What worthier tribute could be paid than to know she was a faithful and loving wife, devoted mother, kind neighbor and loyal friend whom to know was to love. Besides husband and two children, Jno. W. Jr. and Mrs. Ralph Sageser, four sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Lou Wise, Bowling Gree; Mrs. Frank Askins, Wilmore; Mrs. Arrie Martin, Glasgow; Mrs. Ethel Stone, St. Louis; Dr. P. H. Crutchfield, Stamping Ground, John D. Crutchfield, Louisville; L.M. Crutchfield, Nicholasville and Thomas Crutchfield, are left to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted from Wesley Chapel, Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. H. Morris officiating. The interment took place at the Ferrell ground.
