She was a native of Nelson County and a daughter of the late Walter and Irene Burchell Hall and a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ayers, of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Walter Quinn, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Edward Strauss, of Palatine, Ill., Mrs. William J. Filler of Dover, N.J., Mrs. Billy Scott, Nicholasville, and Mrs. Donald Bissinger, of Bountiful, Utah; two sons, William A. Brooks of Lexington, and Walter D. Brooks, of Versailles; one sister, Mrs. Belle Stephens of Danville, 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Betts and West Funeral Home by Rev. Glenn Courts. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Jessamine Journal issue of June 14, 1973.
