He was a member of the Methodist Church in Berry, Ky. Survivors include a son, Forrest Brooks, Jessamine County; two daughters, Mrs. Victor Shadd, of Berry; and Mrs. Ralph E. Michael, of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Walters, Jessamine County; two brothers, J. A. Brooks, Nicholasville; and Ovid Brooks, Charleston, Ind., and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Guyn, Kurtz and Hager Funeral Home by the Rev. Luther R. Stokes. Burial was in the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.
