He was ill with pleurisy. Charles was buried in Mt Hope Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. Owned clothing factory according to 1910 New York census.

According to the 1900 Plattsburg Census, Charles was in the Plattsburg Barracks with Co. A 15th Regt Infantry. Parents: Philipp Peter ZUCK and Anna Barbara DEMUTH.
