Teater, died at her home Friday, August 24, after an extended illness. She was a member of the Little Hickman Christian Church and attended the Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Floyd and Nannie Dean Brooks. Mrs. Teater was preceded in death by two sons, Rolly Bradley Teater, in 1910, and William Floyd Teater, in 1981. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Houston (Dottie) Cobb, Nicholasville, and Mrs. L. F. (Patsy) Benton, Lexington; two sons, Kirby Teater, Nicholasville and Robert Elliott Teater, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Rev. Roland Brooks and Gilbert Brooks, both of Jessamine County; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Teater and Mrs. Elizabeth Teater, both of Jessamine County; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Guyn, Kurtz, Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Reynolds, Officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon and night and Sunday afternoon and night.
